Purpose Al-Anon: To help families of alcoholics recover from the effects get to the problem of alcoholism of a family member or friend.
Similarly, Alateen is our recovery program for adolescents. Alateen groups are sponsored by Al-Anon members.
Our program recovery is adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous and is based on the "Twelve Steps", the "Twelve Traditions" and "Twelve Concepts of Service". The only requirement for membership is to have a relative or friend for whom alcohol is a problem. Al-Anon/Alateen is not affiliated with any outside organization.
