According to the national standard of the Italian centers, the minimum training necessary to operate in an anti-violence center, consists of at least two courses of first and second level, and an appropriate placement. The training is therefore equivalent to the 'transmission' of knowledge of women who, as I said, arising from the restructuring of official culture and decades of experience accumulated by the Centers. Experience now recognized at all levels that has inspired many laws and which increasingly use the various institutions, all'FBJ Istat, Eurispes WHO, the European Community and the United Nations so on.

HOUSE SHELTER TO ADDRESS SECRET "CASA MIRAL"
The property is inserted as an additional tool to support and protect women victims of gender violence and their children.
In this way we want to offer a safe place in which the woman victim of violence, we can reflect on their condition and experience a new life plan, set out along the route to host (new life plan which includes: the escape from violence , a reaffirmation of individuality, autonomy, recovery of parenting, job search ...). This path will be structured and shared within the exit path out of violence, undertaken at the Centre Anti-violence "Thamaia" between the woman and the operator of the host who, if within the psychosocial talks aimed at defining the new project of life without violence, it deemed it necessary 's removal of the woman and any minor children from the matrimonial home due to a serious danger, it will change the hospitality at the shelter, which will thus be a tool to support the planning process for a resolution by the violent relationship.
The shelter was started within the project APQ C axis of the regional "out of violence: The acceptance routes to independence for women victims of violence Palermo - Agrigento - Catania, whose title is Le Onde Onlus Association of Palermo, while its management is entrusted to the Association Thamaia local non-profit organization through a specific cooperation agreement.
Antiviolence URBAN NETWORK - CATANIA
L 'Association in order to enable the creation and maintenance of a network of protection for women victims of gender violence, has created a series of meetings with service operators who participated in the construction of the Urban Anti-Violence Network, with the 'goal of a return to work network began with seminars held within the known project "Anti-Violence Network of Cities Urban Italy" (created Catania between 1999 and 2001), creating a stable and continuous cooperation between the entire City Council and establishing the terms and practice of common action.
The Association aims, in fact, be a nucleus stimulation and coordination in respect of public and private services in the city area. Therefore considers it essential to starting work involving all network service operators who daily confront the issue of violence against women. All through :
sharing and comparison among the different professional and local resources;
signing of memoranda of understanding or cooperation agreements;
the construction of intervention strategies common
the realization of initiatives of information and awareness to the community;
encounters and social gatherings targeting women of the districts in order to raise awareness of the work done by the "anti-violence network and encourage the community to understand their problems and mobilize to deal with them;
the implementation of training and information for operators of the network is not practical to operate with respect to the issue in question and that require such activities, (Eg Police).
The work of construction and implementation of the Anti-Violence Network has always been a primary objective of the Association Thamaia Onlus. In fact, in the actions of the project "Building Together: Create a network of services and protection for women who suffer violence in the District Social Health D16", financed with funds APQ - Recovery of social marginalization and Equal Opportunities of the Region of Sicily, is We have devoted particular awareness-raising activities separate municipalities (Catania, Motta and Misterbianco SA) involving the operators of public and private institutions operating in those municipalities, so as to arrive at the end of the building design process Anti-Violence Network of the District.
MAPPING OF RESOURCES
This Association, recognizing the value of local resources - often not properly used for lack of knowledge by users and sometimes even of the operators - has made an accurate identification of those resources, both government and private social organizations, leading to the construction of a detailed mapping services offered and how to access, with particular attention to those resources that are considered especially useful to respond to various requests that come to social workers who work with the issue of violence against women.
The mapping of resources has been computerized. It 'was, in fact, developed a program that will allow us to catalog and make accessible all information collected on services offered, admission procedures, entry requirements, contact points, the location on the ground, etc. ..
The CD Rom with the mapping of resources, implemented under the project "Building Together: Create a network of services and protection for women who suffer violence in the District Social Health D16", financed with funds APQ - Recovery of social marginalization and Equal Opportunities of the Region of Sicily, is being distributed to all partners of the Project.
mapping is six months updated through regular and timely request for information so that we can provide to users of the Centre Anti-violence and / or operators of facilities who request the information as close to reality.
